Thinking and Acting, organized by the Department for Institutional Reforms, Citizen Participation and Relations with Local Authorities and Metropolitan Areas of the Tuscany Regional Government has involved over eighty experts and administrators of the Pistoia area to consider and decide upon alternative scenarios for a new metropolitan area including Florence, Prato and Pistoia.
This area is characterized by an urban concentration with a high degree of territorial and economic integration which actually make it a large European city. Half of the total wealth of the Tuscany region is produced in this area. In order to facilitate the analysis and the drafting of proposals, the interactive methodologies of Digital Mosaic, Fast prototyping and improvisational theatre (photo) have been applied.
