We designed and organized two prototyping Innovation Camps in Tunisia and Jordan for international stakeholders of the MEDWAY CAP Project: policy makers, industry, NGOs, research, and innovation. Experts from Greece, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Spain, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, and Jordan participated. Techniques for challenge analysis and reformulation were applied to identify ideas and transform them into prototypes of action lines shared among stakeholders. Second-level design thinking techniques were applied through the Innovation Camp method.
New solutions were developed for the adoption of water reuse technologies in the Mediterranean, along with awareness plans and tool repositories. The project resulted in proposals and recommendations for policies on the integrated use of non-conventional water through the institutions involved and the Union for the Mediterranean, an intergovernmental organization that brings together 43 countries to promote dialogue and cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
