The Adriatic-Ionian is not just a sea; it is a mosaic of nine nations with diverse histories that require a common vision. The heart of our mission was the “embedding” process: transforming the European macro-regional strategy into daily practice. We acted as architects of dialogue, coordinating the Managing Authorities of territorial cooperation programs. Our work transcended bureaucratic boundaries, creating an ecosystem where sustainable tourism, maritime transport, environmental quality, and blue growth found a shared language. We orchestrated a facilitated path that involved over 400 stakeholders, including institutions, experts, and international partners, transforming the priorities of thematic groups into a solid, operational, and future-oriented collective mission.
The result went beyond simple planning. We succeeded in creating a rare and valuable consensus on crucial macro-regional priorities, now formalized in the 2021–2027 programming documents. The difference we made lies in having transformed intentions into concrete commitments included in the Partnership Agreements. Through constant exchange, we shaped a shared governance capable of guiding the development of the entire area.
