Assess the effectiveness of urban co-design workshops and facilitate methodological exchange between European partners to define guidelines for climate resilience in the Mediterranean.
FUTOUR led a strategic analysis and facilitation process to connect urban planning and nature-based solutions with the lived experience of citizens in four European countries. We analyzed on the ground how intergenerational dialogue and a playful approach transformed the complexities of climate change into concrete choices accessible to everyone. Through immersion in local contexts and a rigorous comparative methodology, we empowered the voices of communities and municipal technicians. The project culminated in facilitating a major methodological exchange event in Florence, designed as an open and sincere laboratory to surface shared solutions and overcome bureaucratic barriers together.
Our intervention generated a tangible and measurable impact, offering solid project foundations for accessing public funding and developing real feasibility studies. We delivered detailed reports integrating the visions of different cities, laying the groundwork for strategic recommendations intended for European policies. FUTOUR’s added value was stimulating a deep sense of belonging: when people choose how to transform their spaces, they become the first guardians of the public good.
