“In the midst of difficulty lies opportunity” – Albert Einstein
We are constantly learning, but big changes happen especially when there are challenges that force us to change the way we do things.
How do you plan to transform every challenge into an opportunity to innovate and learn to do things differently? What did you do differently when faced with a complex challenge?
We are facilitators and process consultants, and with the pandemic, many clients initially considered postponing or canceling in-person workshops and strategic labs on leadership, communication, and conflict management.
Together with our clients and partners, we found creative, innovative, and very effective solutions to continue collaborating remotely through creative problem-solving workshops, despite everything! We tackled this challenge with creative energy and demonstrated to our clients that it was possible to conduct remote seminars and meetings, offering them the same facilitation and moderation services as if they were in person.
We use digital methodologies and tools that allow us to facilitate and moderate online meetings through our expertise and experience in the field of facilitation. Most people were accustomed to face-to-face meetings, which allow for interaction using all the senses.
As you can imagine, after initial hesitation, enthusiasm sparked because everyone, when faced with challenges and obstacles, seeks solutions and positive responses for renewal. In facilitated online co-design and brainstorming sessions, productivity, effectiveness, focus, the quality of results, and the impact of group work increase.
- People can connect with a single click, without having to travel from one place to another. This saves time, travel, stress, and is good for the environment (less CO2). Many of the workshops we facilitated involved people from different continents and time zones.
- There are no costs for space rental, catering, or logistics, and functional virtual spaces can be created with tools that encourage the exchange of ideas and collaborative work among people.
- A digital meeting, with adequate planning, can be very effective and productive. Much more so than an in-person one!
- Virtual facilitation generates a very collaborative, playful, and mutually trusting atmosphere.
Like any meeting, facilitated lab, or course (in-person or remote), it is essential to correctly plan the purpose of the meeting, the results to be achieved, and the process to be followed. We always conduct technical and content rehearsals to help clients feel comfortable with any digital tool. Practice makes perfect!
